"Feel the Fear and do it anyway!!!!"

I'm Tina Stull and I am the driver of a Top Dragster/Super Comp car sponsored by Interstate Batteries and Mac Tools. I drive a Top Dragster in the NHRA and IHRA. I am blessed to have such great sponsors that understand drag racing but also value the importance of charitable involvement.

Visit to Fort Sam Houston

FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas -- Tina Stull is many things: wife, mother, cancer survivor and race car driver. Stull visited Fort Sam Houston Nov. 19 to speak about her experiences at the 32nd Medical Brigade Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast.

Following the breakfast she parked her dragster at the Rocco Dining Facility, visited with Soldiers and signed autographs.

"I really appreciate the Soldiers who serve, because the job they do allows me to do what I do," she said. "My getting to drive race cars is entertainment. People in the military are changing history. It's important that when they go out to do their job, they know they are fully supported here at home."

Racers are Gearing up to Host Troops in Houston

Baytown, TX. - 'Tickets for Troops', a free ticket program aimed at showing appreciation and support to local military members is gearing up for a day of racing at Houston Raceway Park. Four lady drag racers are combining resources to host the troops and their families.

This season Tina Stull is joined by fellow racers Kate and Diana Harker, both accomplished Alcohol Dragster Drivers as well as Peggy Llewellyn representing Pro Stock Motorcycle at it's best.

"Having other racers get involved has been fantastic. This is all about the Troops, and now with a team of drivers we can broaden the experience for them at the track." Comments Harker

The program is designed to provide a day at the races from the racers perspective, by being invited into the pits and getting to talk to racers one on one, many troops will for the first time discover a love for racing.

"This is not about signing autographs and a two-second hello, we really want troops to hang out with us. And see what it takes to go racing." says Stull

From the outside much of the day looks boring but as racers know that is all part of the timing that happens at a race. Much of the time the troops are in the stands watching NHRA's finest sportsman battle it out for points. But during the long days there is always times to take a break. It's during these times these racers can be seen talking with their guests, and sharing a typical day racing.

Houston Raceway Park has provided 5,000 tickets to be distributed to US Military members for Saturday and Sunday of the event. Ticket for Troops mission is to give the US Military members and their families a day at the race track that is adrenaline backed, fun, enjoyable and informative.

Team Troops will host a hospitality tent in Tina Stull Racing pit with plenty of give-a-ways and a place to meet the drivers, their teams and to get up close and personal with the ladies race machines

US Military are welcome to request tickets through www.tinastullracing.com for the Houston Raceway Park Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event across May 15-17.

Team Troops would personally like to thank the following companies for their support.: Military Ministries, Military Community Youth Ministries - MCYM , Club Beyond, YoungLife-Military , Rush Racing Products, La King Confectionery, Slim Pickens Quality Meats, Interstate Batteries and Mac Tools.

Ladies of the NHRA Host Troops in Dallas

Ennis, TX. - Four women racers gave thanks to some 4000 US Military troops and their families at last weekend's NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event held at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX across April 3-5.

Thanks for writing but there's a Bigger picture here!

I appreciate those of you who contacted Interstate Batteries and asked them to reconsider dropping the NHRA program, I can't thank you enough for your loyalty. As of yesterday we have tickets for 10 races this year and I have every intention of continuing our program to honor our Troops and their families, but I want to remind you that without Interstate Batteries we would have never had the ability or the vision to start such a ambitious program.

Please Help Us!

I am writing to you because I need help. This week Interstate Batteries made a decision to drop me and NHRA drag racing from their Motorsports program in 2009. I have loved driving for them for the past 4 years and feel I have proudly represented their company but NHRA numbers cannot compete with NASCAR. What I want them to know is what else has happen this year because of the NHRA program. And that is where I think you can help me. If you attended a race through the Welcome Home troops free ticket program, or the Day at the races free ticket program please drop a note to Interstate Batteries and tell them how much it meant to you. This year we distributed 21,000 free tickets, handed out thousands of books and giveaways and hosted over 14,800 troops and families at our events, none of which was paid for by Interstate Batteries. If all they know about is races and points they will never see the value of what we are doing.

This year losing my sponsorship means more to me than not being able to race it also means not being able to bring the troops to the track. We have tried to give our best and now I need to prove that we are worth saving. If you would like to see me back in the seat of the interstate dragster take a moment and tell them. Any positive comment would be a great help.

Thanks,
Tina Stull
